Björn Hagströmer is a lecturer in finance at Stockholm University School of Business. His research interests lie in the fields of market microstructure and asset pricing. His latest research project is focused on fast trading and its impact on the quality of financial markets. Essentially, the question is how high-frequency trading, the use of algorithms and speed to pursue very short-term trading strategies, influences traditional investors.
