Lucas Dawson, guest in “Green innovation: the forest as a resource for a better future”, is using a systems approach to investigate how issues regarding governance, policy and planning impact the availability and functionality of green infrastructure. Green infrastructure and associated ecosystem services play a central role in determining sustainable development outcomes at local, regional and global levels. Differing governance frameworks and approaches lead to different outcomes in maintaining, retaining or obtaining green infrastructure.
