Professor Göran Lindbergh is Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Technology at KTH’s School of Chemical Science and Engineering. His area of research is fuel cells and batteries. His work in battery research is aimed at improving the lifespan, weight and cost of batteries. He also is involved in research on fuel cells, with the aim of improving performance. His research team hopes their work will one day eliminate the need for fossil fuels for auto- mobiles and heat and power generation. Lindbergh is a chemical engineer, with a PhD in Electrolysis from KTH. He previously was a researcher at Japan’s Tokohu University.
