Claire Bélisle

Consultant and researcher for Open Education Europa

Claire Bélisle is a consultant and researcher, presently working on digital reading. She holds a doctorate in cognitive psychology, and has worked as a human and social sciences Research Engineer for the National Scientific Research Centre (France), for most of her career, focusing on training and research in digital environments.

She has conducted user studies on reading and digital corpuses, cognitive navigation in hypermedia contents, such as online encyclopaedias, managed several international research projects (for example on telepresence, digital campus), published numerous articles and edited books. Her latest contributions are in Lire dans un monde numérique (Presses de l’ENSSIB, 2011), and Digital Critical Editions (University of Illinois Press, 2014), both books of which she also editor.

She does consulting work for educational organizations and the European Commission and is an Associate Researcher at LIRE-CNRS, Lyon.
